Aesthetic medicine has developed laser treatments that fight against these pigmentation spots on the neckline, the back of the hands or the forearms. These treatments are painless, require almost no recovery time, and now offer long-lasting results.

To respond to these pigmentary indications, our center selected the Harmony XL laser from Alma laser. This technology has been proven on the international market and guarantees the best results.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A DEPIGMENTING LASER TREATMENT?

Laser treatments for pigmented lesions are based on a photorejuvenation process that reduces brown spots caused by the sun.

The laser is extremely precise and targets excess melanin in the skin, breaking it up and dispersing the tiny fragments of pigment, which are then naturally eliminated by the body.

This treatment acts directly on the affected areas and, in just a few sessions, can reduce or even erase the spots.

It also influences the quality of the skin by making the texture thicker, more toned, and smoother. This IPL laser technology is adapted to all skin and photo types.

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS OF HARMONY LASER?

With Harmony, the results are immediate from the first session. After a few weeks, the improvement of the skin’s appearance becomes even clearer. It is recommended to repeat the sessions until the spots disappear completely, the number of sessions can vary based on the severity of the spots.

The results are long-lasting, but it is recommended to repeat a session every six to twelve months.

A PERSONALIZED ACCOMPANIMENT FOR A HARMONY SESSION

After a careful cleaning of the area, before and after photos will be taken so that we can follow the progress of the treatment.

The doctor checks that you have no contraindications and then applies an ultrasound gel to the area and applies the laser on the areas to be treated for 5 to 15 minutes. The laser will emit high-energy photons by pulse, fragmenting the tissue pigments and smoothing your skin texture.

Hyperpigmentation and brown spots are removed, and your skin becomes more uniform.

WHAT ARE THE AFTER EFFECTS OF A HARMONY LASER?

The skin is not damaged and there are no serious side-effects, even if redness, blisters, or scabs may appear a few hours after the sessions. A healing cream should be applied to accelerate their disappearance. It is necessary to protect yourself from the sun for several weeks with a 50 SPF protection.

Answers to your questions about Laser Harmony

  • How many sessions are needed?

    • Pigment spots require several sessions depending on their severity and how long they have been present. Between 3 and 6 sessions are recommended.
    For photorejuvenation, the results are immediate and can be maintained regularly.

  • Is the treatment painful?

    • There is only a slight tingling and hot sensation, sometimes accompanied by a pinch for precise shots like a snap of a rubber band. Most patients tolerate the session very well. For rejuvenation or photorejuvenation treatment, there is no pain felt.

  • What does the recovery period look like?

    • For a few days you may feel a slight discomfort like a sunburn, and a few rare crusts may form for 48 hours.

  • What treatments can the Harmony laser be combined with?

    • It is a laser that works very well with peels, the HydraFacial and LED.

  • What are the contraindications?

    • Taking anti-coagulants, photosensitizing drugs, and pregnancy.
