Aesthetic medicine has developed laser treatments to fight against these pigmentation spots that can appear on the face or neckline.

These treatments are painless, rarely require that you avoid public engagements, and have long-lasting results.

To respond to these pigmentary issues, our center has selected the Harmony XL laser from Alma laser. This technology has been proven on the international market and is guaranteed to be effective.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A HARMONY LASER TREATMENT?

Laser treatments for pigmented lesions are based on a photo rejuvenation process that reduces brown spots, red spots, couperose, rosacea and small blood vessels.

The laser’s precise action will target the localized excess of melanin present in the skin, fragmenting it and causing a dispersal of these tiny fragments of pigment which will then be naturally evacuated by the body. This treatment acts directly on the affected areas and, in just a few sessions, can reduce or even erase the spots.

It also influences the quality of the skin by making it plumper, firmer, and smoother. This IPL laser technology is adapted to different skin types and can also be used to treat darker skin types.

PERSONALIZED SUPPORT FOR AN EFFECTIVE LASER TREATMENT?

In our center, depigmenting treatments are part of a personalized support protocol. Your Personal Beautician will first welcome you for a skin diagnostic session using VISIA 7 technology. This examination will determine the characteristics of your skin, evaluate pigmentary spots, and highlight skin imperfections that are not yet visible to the naked eye, but that will eventually appear if not treated. Based on this analysis, in addition to a medical consultation, our doctors will be able to determine the best course of action.

The treatment session will begin with a careful cleaning of the area to be treated. Various photographs will be taken to create your patient file, to follow the before and after of the treatment and to measure the evolution after each session.

Once the doctor has verified that you have no contraindications, they will apply an ultrasound gel to the area and then diffuse the laser beam for 5 to 15 minutes. The laser will emit high-energy photons by pulse to fragment excess melanin, eliminate redness or couperose and smooth your skin texture.

Answers to your questions about Laser Harmony

  • Does the laser remove spots?

    • The Harmony laser is recognized for its effectiveness. Depending on the case and the number of sessions, it can strongly reduce or completely remove pigmentation spots. The first results are immediate after the first session. After a few weeks, the improvement in the appearance of the skin is very clear. The results are long-lasting, but it is recommended to repeat a session every six to twelve months. Hyperpigmentation and brown spots will be removed, your skin obtains a more uniform look. Your complexion will be brighter, the skin regains its elasticity and firmness. Any redness or rosacea will have disappeared.

  • What are the after-effects of a laser treatment?

    • The skin is not damaged and there are no disabling consequences, even if redness, blisters, or scabs may appear a few hours after the sessions. A specific cream should be applied to accelerate healing. It is necessary to protect yourself from the sun for several weeks with a SPF50 lotion.

  • How many sessions are needed?

    • Blotchiness can be treated in one or two sessions, followed by one maintenance session per year.

    Pigmented spots require several sessions depending on their severity and age.

    For photorejuvenation, the results are immediate and can be maintained regularly.

  • Is the treatment painful?

    • Only a slight tingling sensation and heat sometimes accompanied by a pinch, like a snap of a rubber band, for precise shots. Most patients tolerate the session very well.

  • What does the recovery period look like?

    • For a few days you may feel a slight discomfort like a sunburn, and a few rare crusts may form for 48 hours.

  • What treatments can the Harmony laser be combined with?

    • It is a laser that works very well with peels, HydraFacial, and LED.

  • What are the contraindications?

    • Taking anti-coagulants, photosensitizing drugs, and pregnancy.
