Radiesse is an injectable filler made of calcium hydroxyapatite, CaHa. It is a mineral found naturally in the body in bones and tooth enamel. Radiesse is used to treat skin aging and sagging by injecting the areas most affected. Already widely used to treat areas of the face, it can also be used to treat the neck, décolleté, hands and inner arms.
Radiesse offers a double action on tissue induction, firstly by stimulating the synthesis of two proteins essential to the quality of the skin, namely collagen and elastin, and secondly by stimulating the activity of fibroblasts, which diminish with age. These are the support cells that, by disappearing, cause the skin to sag.
Radiesse is composed of 30% calcium hydroxyapatite and 70% of a neutral carrier gel. The calcium will have a strengthening effect on the skin and will maintain its hydration while ensuring cell renewal and reinforcement of the dermis. It is an injectable, resorbable, and biodegradable product that rejuvenates skin.
Radiesse is a treatment that is increasingly used in aesthetic medicine, as part of a global anti-aging treatment, to target photoaging on the neck, wrinkles in the décolleté area, sagging skin on the inside of the arms, and wrinkles on the hands. This rejuvenation product allows to have a lifting effect on the skin without having to resort to heavy and painful surgery.
